Hey! I’m Alex 👋

I am a 22-year-old Communications professional working at one of the most incredible national broadcasters, the BBC, as well as a freelance creative working on videos and social media assets for clients and their campaigns. I graduated with a first-class BA (Hons) Journalism degree from Brunel University London in July 2019.

I blend traditional PR with contemporary social media assets to reach a younger, wider audience – as well as developing and producing branded content to reach audiences organically. You can view some examples of that work here.

Outside of my profession, I follow the state of the housing market with great interest, in particular the experiences of renters – in 2019, I earned the nickname ‘Thermostat Guy’ after a Tweet became an international news story.

I am also a proud gay man and filmed a video in response to the 2018 movie Love, Simon detailing my experience of coming out in the hope that it may help others who are yet to do so. You can watch that here!

I was also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to introduce Taylor Swift to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich in 2015. If you want to watch me shout at the top of my lungs because I underestimated the power of my microphone, you can watch that here!
